The STRONG Committee was created as an ad-hoc task force to deliver the resources and boots-on-the-ground information that can be utilized to fight the proliferation of electronic recording in the most effective way. The STRONG Committee was mobilized to promote stenographic court reporting and captioning as the best means to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the record, culminating in the publication of the Emerging Ethical and Legal Issues Related to the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Voice Cloning, and Digital Audio Recording of Legal Proceedings white paper in November 2024, which has been cited by CNBC, Reuters, NextGov, and others.
