Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Alliance
The purpose of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Alliance (DHHA) is to focus on federal public policy that can improve the quality of life for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and all people with hearing loss. The DHHA’s major objective is to provide a forum whereby relevant information can be shared, plans made and actions taken for collaborative and mutually supportive efforts. NCRA is one of the member organizations that make up the DHHA.
Current issue with DHHA- the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) will protect the rights of persons with disabilities in countries that have signed and ratified it.

The Coalition of Organizations for accessible technology (COAT) advocates for accessibility and usability of technology for people with disabilities. Enacting the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (21st CVAA) was a huge step forward and we are working to implement this new law. COAT’s overall aim is to ensure accessibility, usability, and affordability of all broadband, wireless, and Internet technologies for people with disabilities. NCRA is one of the member organizations that make up COAT.
