Jason Meadors began his career in court reporting while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1975-1978. He has worked in both official and freelance roles and founded Meadors Court Reporting in 1989.
Meadors holds the nationally recognized professional certifications of Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR), and Certified Realtime Captioner (CRC). He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Professional Reporters (FAPR). During his career, Meadors has reported coast to coast as well as in 13 foreign countries.
At the national level, he has served on numerous NCRA committees, as well as Director and Secretary-Treasurer. He is a contributor to the JCR magazine and has presented at the national and state levels.
His volunteer service also has included numerous roles with the Colorado Court Reporters Association, including as its president.
During his tenure as NCRA President, Meadors served as the Association’s national spokesperson and was quoted in a number of articles appearing in various media including trade and legal publications about the importance of using a live stenographic court reporter and captioner to achieve the highest level of accuracy when it comes to capturing the spoken word into text. He also used his position to extensively promote the stenographic court reporting and captioning professions to the public.
