The United States District Court for the District of Maryland, is accepting applications for the position of full-time Official Court Reporter for the Southern Division located in Greenbelt, Maryland. Duties include reporting proceedings for all judges and magistrate judges and transcribing proceedings as requested. Minimum requirement of at least four years of prime court reporting experience in the freelance field or in other courts, or a combination thereof, and must have passed the RPR or an equivalent qualifying examination. Merit certification and realtime certification preferred but not required. Must provide own CAT system with realtime capability. Starting salary is established by the Judicial Conference and is dependent on experience and qualifications. Court Reporter Level 1 starting salary is $92,990.
