I. Read the newly updated Online Skills Testing Instructions
The updated instructions include information on enhanced flexibility with our new proctoring process using Record+, which allows candidates to test on-demand any day and time within their 1-20 registered testing period. Candidates can launch their test up until 11:59 p.m. Eastern on the 20th day of the testing period for which they registered.
II.Use of Guardian Browser required
Beginning with the May 2023 Online Skills Testing period, candidates must use the new Guardian Browser to connect to Realtime Coach for their ProctorU/Record+ proctoring session for their NCRA Online Skills Tests. Guardian is a secure browser created by Meazure Learning, the company that created the ProctorU/Record+ Platform we use for remote proctoring services.
The Guardian Browser:
- Eliminates compatibility issues with our testing and proctoring platform, is easier to support and troubleshoot, and provides quick assistance through highly visible buttons to reach chat support and help articles.
- Presents a clean and secure channel to access our Skills Tests without requiring additional, complicated extensions to assist candidates, and it provides a secure testing environment.
- Is compatible with JAWS and NVDA for Windows and VoiceOver for Mac, allowing candidates with visual accommodations to test successfully.
NOTE: Download the Guardian Browser PRIOR to your testing appointment.
