RESTON, Va., July 30, 2021 — The National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), the country’s leading organization representing stenographic court reporters, captioners, and legal videographers, today announced that Kristin M. Anderson, an official court reporter from San Antonio, Texas, was elected to serve as 2021-2022 Vice President during the Association’s Conference & Expo being held July 29-Aug. 1 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
Anderson is an official court reporter for Bexar County Civil District Court. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Human Relations in 2012from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. She holds the nationally recognized professional certification of Registered Professional Reporter (RPR). With more than 20 years of experience, Anderson has worked both as a freelance reporter in Kansas and Missouri, and as an official court reporter in Illinois and Kansas. Anderson worked for the U.S. District Court Western District of Texas from 2013 through 2017 and has her Federal Certified Realtime Reporter (FCRR) designation with the U. S. Court Reporters Association (USCRA).
At the national level, Anderson is a past chair of the National Committee of State Associations and served on that committee in various capacities from 2006 through 2014. She also served on the Veterans Liaison Committee of NCRA’s New Professionals Committee, the Membership and Telemarketing Committee, the Steno Opportunities in the Courts Task Force, and on the Board Policy and Procedures and Finance committees. She most recently chaired the Finance Committee and Audit Committee as NCRA Secretary-Treasurer.
At the state level, Anderson has served in numerous positions and on various committees for the Kansas Court Reporters Association, including as president for two terms. She served on the Texas Court Reporters Association’s Convention and Ethics committees from 2015 to 2016.
Anderson also holds membership in the Bexar County Court Reporters Association and the Texas Depositions Reporters Association.
