Cindy L. Isaacsen from Shawnee elected 2021-2022 NCRA Secretary-Treasurer

RESTON, Va., July 30, 2021 — TheNational Court Reporters Association (NCRA), the country’s leading organization representing stenographic court reporters, captioners, and legal videographers, today announced that Cindy L. Isaacsen, an official court reporter from Shawnee, Kan., was elected to serve as 2021-2022 Secretary- Treasurer during the Association’s Conference & Expo being held July 29-Aug. 1 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

Isaacsen is in her 13th year as an official court reporter for the 10th Judicial District Court in Olathe, Kan. She began her career in 1988 as a freelance court reporter in Clarksville, Tenn. In 1990, she worked as a freelance court reporter in Schweinfurt, Germany. She has also worked as a freelance court reporter at Fort Polk, La., and for several firms including Welker & Associates in Clarksville, Tenn., and AAA Court Reporting Company in Overland Park, Kan. Isaacsen also worked as an official court reporter for the 36th Judicial District Court in DeRidder, La.

At the national level, she was elected in 2018-2019 and served a three-year term as an NCRA Director. She also served on NCRA’s Election Committee in 2016-2017, as a regional representative for the National Committee of State Associations, and as committee chair. She has also served on various committees, including the Finance, Brand Ambassadors, and Student/Teacher.

At the state level, Isaacsen has served on the board and twice as president of the Kansas Court Reporters Association. She has also served as a speaker for several state associations. Isaacsen is a graduate of the Stenograph Institute of Texas and holds the professional certification of Registered Professional Reporter (RPR).
